E-mobility is changing; big players are taking inspiration from newcomers, and Slovakia is becoming a “trend-setter” in the battery business

Huge technological changes and innovative trends are quickly changing our lives in a way that we until recently considered to be out of our reach. However, the question remains: “Where will we and where should we direct our attention to?” With regards to the protection of our planet, from my point of view, we should mainly focus on innovations and new technologies in the field of mobility.

These days we are increasingly witnessing major technological changes, spectacular innovations, and an onset of new trends. If we look at history, this has always been the case. In the 1950s, it was for example the invention of the washing machine, in 1910 it was the first commercial flight or in 1959 it was the microchip. Even during my life, in the 80s and 90s, I experienced for example, the birth of the Internet. Where are we heading today and what area should we pay the most attention to? In my eyes, it is mainly innovations and new technologies in the field of mobility, precisely due to their contribution to environmental protection.

TECHNOLOGY HAS BEEN CHANGING THE WORLD FOR YEARS. TODAY, OUR PLANET NEEDS IT AS WELL.

If for a while I focus on the history of mobility, I think the biggest milestone was the beginning of the mass production of the Ford Model T. It was this step that ensured that cars were available to people in larger quantities and at an affordable price, which was a big deal at the time. However, after this, there were no more new trends and innovations in this area, until we woke up one fine morning and found out, that for example, drone deliveries from Amazon have been approved, and that NASA had begun testing autonomous electric vertical takeoff and landing aircrafts. Or, that Tesla has become the most valuable car company in the world because it produced (and still produces) exclusively electric vehicles.

What comes to my mind when I look back at this? I see, above all, that all these changes were more than necessary and were driven by the demands of us, the consumers. And we, as those consumers, want the greatest possible comfort, which is also the end goal of companies. So, what is the result of technological change? It is precisely that we are living faster, with endless possibilities and a growing desire to catch up with everything we could have missed. This is why we want to be as mobile and fast as possible.

However, since I have a family and a daughter, I firmly believe that as consumers today, we long not only for comfort and fast mobility, but also for a cleaner planet. Our environment is changing rapidly, and we as human beings must slowly but surely begin to take responsibility for all of our actions. I hope that companies and individuals will focus their activities on helping to transform our planet into a greener place and on setting up all their processes so that they do not destroy our planet, but on the contrary, protect it.

COMBUSTORS ARE CHANGED IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES, AIR GIANTS PRE-TAKE PREMISES OF EMISSION-FREE FLIGHTS, AND GREAT PLAYERS ARE INSPIRED BY NEWCOMER

But let’s go back to mobility innovation. As transport is one of the biggest air polluters, I am very pleased that several steps are being taken to move towards green mobility as quickly as possible. I am pleased to be able to follow the steps of the most important players on the market in this transformation. What exactly do I mean?

Just look at the most important and well-known players on the market. For example, historically notorious brands such as Volkswagen, Škoda and Audi are increasingly focusing primarily on the transition to the production of electric cars. Another great example is air transport. Aviation giants such as Boeing and Airbus are constantly testing new technologies and are in a race of who will be the first to dominate the world of emission-free flights. It is incredible that newcomers (such as Tesla) are setting the pace and that they are the ones from who the big players are taking tips from and “following”. This is how it should be! I think that the market is an interesting space precisely when experienced successful companies are transformed and innovated in order to catch up with ambitious start-ups. They are the ones inspiring them to rethink their strategies and keep up with the new, more sustainable world of mobility.

SLOVAKIA AS THE FUNDAMENTAL PILLAR OF THE ELECTROMOBILITY REVOLUTION?

Why am I writing all of this? The reason is that this is how enthusiastic I am about our Slovak InoBat. I will refrain from being modest for a moment and I am not afraid to state that I perceive InoBat as a startup newcomer, who, in a short time, has managed to become a major player in the market, and is at the forefront of the “mobility revolution”. This is done by the research, development, production, and the recycling of innovative batteries for electric cars, on which the entire InoBat team works hard every day.

Of course, our goals are very ambitious. In other words, we want our batteries to perform in your future cars as significantly as the software on your computer or the chip in your iPhone. Simply put, one without the other doesn’t work, but when they come together, literally miracles can happen. And we want to achieve the same effect! We want to make our InoBat batteries the heart of as many electric vehicles as possible. I’m not just talking about cars. Thanks to our innovative research, development, production and experts, we can tailor batteries for vehicles in various segments – freight and public transport, aerospace and logistics. To sum up, our goal is clear. Participate in innovation and improve the future of our planet.

WHAT ELSE WOULD I ADD? DO THINGS IN WHICH YOU SEE MEANING, BUT DO THEM RIGHT

To conclude, I would like to motivate you a little bit. If you have a good idea that you believe in and you enjoy working on, don’t just let it float in your mind but act on it. And please pay attention to our planet. Because if you do one thing (and not 100 things at once), you do it right and you put all your efforts into it, you automatically have a competitive advantage. And that’s what we, at InoBat, are trying to do. We have focused on providing the best, most environmentally friendly and most efficient batteries for vehicle manufacturers. What I’m extremely proud of, is that as part of our strategy, for example with the construction of an R&D center and pilot line for battery production, we have thought through everything in detail so that our business is as sustainable for our planet as possible.

The world brings us an enormous number of great opportunities, it constantly inspires me to act, and it is great to know that a great future of electromobility is within our reach. I am honored that we at InoBat can be part of this great transformation. THANK YOU
