Sergey obtained a diploma of Engineer of Electronics from the Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Russia) and PhD degree from Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel (Germany). He held post-doctoral roles in Germany, Portugal, Australia and the Netherlands. Sergey’s research was focused on developing novel materials for electrochemical energy generation and storage. After finishing his academic career, Sergey joined British start-up Ilika Technologies as a Scientist where he was working on developing and testing advanced materials for Li-ion rechargeable batteries. Prior to joining Inobat Auto, he was also employed as a Battery Specialist by Croda Nederland B.V. and an Electrode Chemist by Battolyser Systems, South Holland. Sergey has extensive experience in slurry preparation, rheology, crystallography, impedance spectroscopy and other electrochemical methods for testing Li-ion cells and their components. Sergey has 12 years of experience in conducting research and managing R&D projects in the Li-ion battery sector; he is a co-author of 40 scientific papers and three patents.
